FOOD DRIVE - WE NEED YOUR HELP!
MANNA MINISTRIES, a collaboration of Leland area churches and civic groups, is conducting a food collection drive. All food collected will be distributed to hungry Leland area families. The increasing costs of groceries, gas and utilities, housing, medicine and healthcare, have caused a crisis in many families’ abilities to provide adequate, nutritious food for their family. Every food donation helps in the fight against hunger – no matter how small or large.
Each month we plan on distributing food to 125 families. This costs about $16 per family, or $2000 per month.
Manna Ministries accepts donations at:
Leland Public Library on Village Road
You may also drop food off at the pantry the Monday before distribution at 7:30pm
Area churches, schools, neighborhoods, businesses and civic organizations are encouraged to get involved.
EXAMPLES OF ITEMS NEEDED:
• Canned vegetables
• Canned soups, Ramen noodles
• Pasta, noodles
• Canned meats (tuna, stew, chili, Spam, salmon, etc.)
