Volunteer

At Manna, we distribute food once a month, and we have zero paid staff members. Therefore, we are always looking for help in all aspects of the ministry.
Opportunities to serve:
  • Set up and Break Down
  • Food Distribution (in the line)
  • Pulling Wagons/ Loading Cars
  • Load and Pick Up Produce Order from Piggly Wiggly
  • Food Sorting (The Monday before Distribution)
Distributions take place on the 4th Saturday of every month (except November and December, which take place on the 3rd). The line opens at 9am, and closes at 11am. Setup begins at 7:30 am.
Food sorting takes place at 7pm the Monday evening before Distribution.

Donate

Manna Ministries is entirely donation funded. We receive zero grants or taxpayer money. We rely entirely on the provision of God and the generosity of our donors.
Every month, we plan to serve 125 families in the Brunswick County area. We purchase fresh groceries and meat for distribution. This costs $16 per family. This makes our total need $2000 per month.
How to Donate:
Food:
We accept food donations at Woodburn Presbyterian Church anytime our doors are open.
  • Monday before Distribution 7pm-8pm (Pantry Items only)
  • Saturday during and before Distribution, 7:30am-11am (Fresh groceries and pantry items accepted)
  • Leland Public Library on Village Road during open hours (Pantry items only)

Money:
Moreover, we accept monetary donations.
  • In person, during distribution or sorting times (see above)
  • Via mail, using the mailing address below.
  • Using online bill pay with your bank, using the mailing address below.
Checks should be made out to Manna Ministries. We also can provide receipts for money donations.
100% of our monetary donations--unless designated towards direct needs within the ministry--are used to buy food.
